Environmental action award winners

 

 

Over the past year, the Rotary Club of Whitby has been a leader in environmental action and now we have been rewarded with a Rotary District 7070 Environmental Action Award.

 

We led the way with the annual Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup with dozens of volunteers picking up garbage from lakes, streams, ditches and fields in the Great Lakes watershed. We also supported three local schools to plant pollinator gardens on their property and we diverted 51% of the waste at our annual Food Truck Frenzy.
